The 17th Academic Council Meeting of Southern University Bangladesh was held on 11th September 2014 , under the Chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammad Ali.
Founder & Treasurer Mr. Sarwar Jahan, Pro-VC. Dr. Sharifuzzaman, Dean of Business Administration Prof. Dr.Abdul Muktadir, Prof. Dr. Muin-ud-Din Ahmed Khan, Prof. Engr. Mozzamal Hoque, Prof. Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Prof. Dr. Nurul Mustafa, Prof. Shamsuzzaman Khan, Mrs. Ishrat Jahan, Prof. Dr. Saleh Jahur, Prof.
Ahmed Hossain, Prof. Mohiuddin Khaled, Registrar Dr. Mantazul Islam, Engr. Md. Ali Ashraf, Mr. Atiquer Rahman, Dr. Shakhawat Ullah Chowdhury, Mr. Hadaate Ullah and Controller of Examination Mr. Rezaul Karim, were present in the meeting and participated in the discussion.
The meeting started with welcome speech given by the Honorable Chair and then the committee expressed a great condolence at the demise of legendry Nazrul singer Feroza Begum. After that the Academic committee was discussing different agendas like academic performance report, award of degrees to successful candidate, syllabus revision and miscellaneous.
